WHO IS IT FOR? This vaccine is approved for use in adults (including older adults) and children. It is the required option for children with certain medical conditions, such as severe asthma. Eligible, healthy children who prefer a needle-free option. Due to its "live" nature, it has a shorter shelf life, stocks are limited, it expires at different times throughout winter, best to book while stock is available. Although health authorities recommend this specific "enhanced" or high-dose flu vaccine to provide stronger protection, it is NOT MANDATORY for this age group. NOTE: There is no upper age limit for regular INFLUVAC, meaning older adults can also receive it in absence of FLUAD.
