| WHO IS IT FOR? | This vaccine is approved for use in adults (including older adults) and children. It is the required option for children with certain medical conditions, such as severe asthma. | Eligible, healthy children who prefer a needle-free option. Due to its "live" nature, it has a shorter shelf life, stocks are limited, it expires at different times throughout winter, best to book while stock is available. | Although health authorities recommend this specific "enhanced" or high-dose flu vaccine to provide stronger protection, it is NOT MANDATORY for this age group. NOTE: There is no upper age limit for regular INFLUVAC, meaning older adults can also receive it in absence of FLUAD. |
